Gordon Tees

Gordon Tees graduated as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr. TCM) from the International College of TCM (Victoria/Vancouver BC) in 1995. From 1998-2001 he was also an audit team member with the Private Post Secondary Commission of BC. He is currently a member in good standing with the Nova Scotia Association of Acupuncturists. As required Gordon continues to maintain his knowledge and skill level by taking continuing education courses in Acupuncture. The World Health Organization mentions that there are a number of diseases, symptoms or conditions that have been; “proved-through controlled trials-to be an effective treatment”, as well as “Acupuncture can be regarded as the method of choice for treating many chronically painful conditions”. When coming in for a TCM/Acupuncture consultation or treatment you are going to be asked a lot of questions. These questions will be about what your ‘chief complaint’ is and the symptoms, but enquires will also be made about your overall health. It is important from a TCM perspective to understand as much about the individual’s whole health in order to formulate a treatment platform. We look for patterns in your health and need to differentiate what your particular condition is. No two individuals will exhibit the same symptoms. There will be some that are shared, but the individual being an individual, will develop symptoms systematic to their overall health. With this understanding a TCM/Acupuncture practitioner will be able to address not only the symptoms but equally important the ‘root’ of the condition. “Helping you, help yourself”

I have been a patient of chiropractic, acupuncture and massage for over 20 years. My role of helping out at the front desk is a pleasure due to my passion regarding the natural healing of the body – physically, emotionally and mentally. I enjoy expanding my understanding of the healing process, thus my role is a pleasure and expands my knowledge base.

I have worked as an administrator for many years in the Colchester area since graduating from business college. I enjoy the role and love meeting our patients and witnessing their healing journey. It is so very rewarding and gives me great happiness. The atmosphere at the clinic is very positive. The team is enthusiastic and always goes above and beyond to help our patients with great care and their professional skills and dedication. The empowerment of healing is amazing to witness.

I live in Old Barns with my husband and an assortment of rescue pets who are now part of our family. I enjoy organic gardening, volunteering in the community, biking, walking and large family and friend celebrations over delicious meals!
